Officers were called to the scene at St Fergus beach, near Peterhead, at around 9.15pm last night. UPDATED: Family of missing Adam Mitchell informed after body found on north-east beach A Police Scotland spokesman said: “We were made aware by a member of the public that a body had been found on a beach at St Fergus. “Inquiries are ongoing.” The spokesman said there was nothing to suggest at this time that the death was suspicious. He was unable to give details on the person’s identity.
