Santa will swap his red suit for festive flippers as he prepares to take his ever growing mission to spread festive cheer underwater.
Despite being snowed under with preparations for December 25, Santa is taking time out of his winter schedule to stop at Macduff Marine Aquarium this month.
The fish in the main tank at the Banffshire attraction will enjoy an early gift when he dons a different kind of suit to join the underwater feeding sessions.
Saint Nick has made the aquarium a regular pit stop on his world tour and will return again over the coming weekends to deliver Christmas dinner to the residents.
Aquarium manager Claire Matthews said: “Santa will be taking time out of his schedule to go diving – he’s spending four days with us.
“At 2pm each day Santa will be getting wet and serving up some fishy treats. There will also be some Christmas fun throughout the aquarium.”
She added that 2016 has marked another successful year for the marine attraction and that her team are looking forward to further council investment next year.
Santa will join the feeding sessions at Macduff Marine Aquarium on Saturday, December 10 and Sunday December 11. He will return the following weekend for a further two dives.
Aquarium staff are also organising Christmas crafting sessions and a cracker joke tour around the tanks.
