A teenager has been left with a broken jaw after an unprovoked attack at a north-east train station.
Police are appealing for information after the 18-year-old man was injured at Stonehaven Railway Station, Arduthie Road, just before midnight on Saturday.
Officers want to trace a man and woman in connection with the incident.
The woman is described as being in her late teens to early 20s, tall, of a slim build with long brown hair. She was wearing a beige coloured jacket and beige knee high boots.
Also in his early 20s, the man is described of a medium build with short dark hair. He was wearing a dark blue puffy jacket, blue jeans and grey and black trainers.
PC Graham Crawford said: “This appears to have been a completely unprovoked attack which has resulted in a young man being seriously injured.
“Violent behaviour will not be tolerated and I would urge anyone with information that could assist with our enquiries to contact police as soon as possible.”
Anyone with information should contact Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 if you would prefer to remain anonymous.
