These are some of the mixed online comments received by Inverurie Garden Centre, following the news they are selling real fur products.
Linda Vingiano: “Nobody has the right to make money from selling fur.”
Liam Thom: “I don’t agree with the selling of fur, but like anything else, these folk are trying to make money – as are we all. And if it sells, then it sells and if nobody buys it, they won’t stock it again next year.”
Angela Craig: “If people want to wear it, then that is their choice. I personally don’t. Too many hypocrites out there are protesting, but I bet they wear real leather and make-up from animals, so please be quiet.”
Jennifer Ross: “Lost my custom now.”
An online petition against Escale France stated signatories’ reasons for signing.
Tanya V wrote: “Animals skinned alive all in the name of fashion and a fast buck to be made by heartless shop owners like Escale France.”
Roberta M added: “You can love fashion without cruelty.”
