Coastguard and RNLI teams are currently searching for the source of the alarm, which was first detected at 4.10pm. A spokesman for the coastguard service said: “We’ve had a man overboard signal. We’re still out looking right now.” More to follow. UPDATE: Search teams have now been called back to shore. Coastguard and RNLI teams stopped the search at 7pm after it was concluded that there was no risk to life. A shoreline search was also conducted with a rescue helicopter. It is currently unknown why the man overboard alarm was triggered.
