Make a meal of it: How to donate to the Press and Journal’s Christmas Campaign
We have teamed up with two of the best known operators in the P&J area to stop people going hungry this Christmas.
Festive parcels for hard-pressed households in Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and Moray are prepared and distributed by Cfine (Community Foods Initiatives North East).
The registered charity operates a food bank from its Granite City headquarters in Poynernook Road.
It also, as the local part of the FareShare network, distributes perfectly good “waste” food from supermarkets and producers via a network of 170 north-east charities and community groups.
Across the Highlands, Blythswood Care distributes emergency provisions to thousands of families and individuals in need.
Both of the highly-respected outfits rely on the financial generosity of the public to keep the huge logistical task running.
This is how you can help – please mention the campaign where possible when you are making a donation by whatever method.
Highlands: Call 01349 830777 to give to the trust’s Highland Food bank by credit card, or visit www.blythswood.org/donate where PayPal can be used too.
