Officers investigating a reported assault in Aberdeen city centre over the weekend have concluded that no crime was committed.
Police Scotland launched a probe after receiving reports that a woman had been assaulted in Albyn Lane late on Sunday night.
On Monday, officers sealed off the area and carried out an investigation to establish the circumstances behind the report.
Today police confirmed that their inquires have now finished after establishing that no crime was committed.
Detective Inspector Lorna Ferguson said: “We have conducted a full enquiry to establish the circumstances and I appreciate that this would have caused concern for the community.
“I would like to thank all those who assisted while enquiries were carried out.”
