A school bus driver has been charged with careless driving after a crash on a north-east road.
Police and ambulance services were called to the scene on the A944 outside Skene Primary school at around 3.25pm on Monday. Children from the school were on board at the time.
The collision involved a Central minibus and a 4×4 vehicle and the road was blocked for some time.
The driver of the bus suffered minor injuries but was treated at the scene.
On Monday, a spokesman for Aberdeenshire Council said: “All the children seem to be fine but they have understandably had a shock.
“All parents have been informed and have been to collect the children. The driver of the minibus phoned the emergency services himself.”
Today, Police confirmed that the 47-year-old driver of the bus had been charged in relation to careless driving following the crash.
