Firefighters called to blaze at north-east care home

Firefighters were called out to a fire at a north-east care home this morning.
Three fire appliances were sent to Tor-Na-Dee Nursing Home in Milltimber after a fire broke out just after 10am.
The blaze – described as small – started in a toaster on a ground floor dining room.
Two fire engines were called from North Anderson Drive and one from Altens.
It was brought under control before the crews arrived, and they left the scene at 10.20am.
A fire and rescue spokesman said: “There was a small fire at Tor-Na-Dee Nursing Home, that was at 10.03am. It was a small fire in the toaster in the ground floor dining room.
“It was extinguished before arrival. We were’t there long at all.”
