She’s the north-east teenager who has become a literary star after writing a series of best-selling books.
And now, 19-year-old Estelle Maskame from Peterhead has confirmed she will unveil her brand new work next July.
The author started her “DIMILY” series when she was only 15 and gained a publishing deal with Scottish company, Black & White, at the end of 2014.
Since then, following the publication of the trilogy, “Did I Mention I Love You”, “Did I Mention I Need You” and “Did I Mention I Miss You”, Ms Maskame has become one of the biggest names in Young Adult fiction, gained a worldwide legion of fans, and over 150,000 Twitter followers.
So far, there have been few details released about her new book, but it’s understood it is a romance and Campbell Brown, the managing director of Black and White, said yesterday: “Estelle’s story is already phenomenal, with so much more to come.
“She’s had the drive to write a trilogy in her teens, and the talent to engage hundreds of thousands of YA readers throughout the world.
“Estelle is already an international best-selling author and her eagerly-awaited new novel, which is due to be published in July, 2017, is set to build on her incredible success.”
Ms Maskame was in Paris last week, where long queues of fans waited patiently to buy their copies of works which have already been translated into a dozen languages.
She has taken it all in her stride, even as there have been discussions about turning her books into a film or TV series.
Ms Maskame, who has just returned home after a whirlwind series of events, said yesterday: “It’s been an amazing experience getting to travel around Europe to meet my readers in other countries – I absolutely love seeing their support!
“I am currently writing a new standalone Young Adult novel and I can’t wait to introduce my readers to a new set of characters.
“This is what I have always wanted to do, and it is fantastic to be moving forward.”
