Fire crews were called out this morning after two vehicles went up in flames at an Aberdeen car park.
Both vehicles were damaged in the incident at around 1.30am in the Errol Street area of the city.
One Scottish Fire and Rescue Service appliance from Central was called.
A spokeswoman for the service said: “Two cars were well alight in a residents car park.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman confirmed although officers initially thought the fires could be suspicious, further investigation proved that was not the case.
She said: “We thought it was willful to begin with but the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service believed it was a mechanical fault with one of the vehicles.”
