The coastguard were called to assist the police at around 4.45pm in Torry. A police spokesman revealed they were looking for a 34-year-old from Alford. He said: “Police are keen to trace a 34-year-old man who has gone missing from Alford. “Robert Anderson was last seen about 7:45 am on today in Alford, but may be in the Aberdeen City area. “Robert is described as 5ft 5in tall, short brown hair with a beard and in a postman’s uniform. “Robert may have travelled from Alford to Aberdeen during the day todar and could still be in the Aberdeen area. “He also owns a white Suzuki Baleno registration SV66 LXX.” A coastguard spokesman said: “We have coastguards from Aberdeen and Stonehaven at the scene. “We are not sure where the missing person may be and we are carrying out a search of the shores while the police search the land.” Anyone with information is urged to contact Police on 101.
