The north-east of Scotland has woke up to a delayed White Christmas today.
Snow began to land across the region overnight, with the white stuff continuing to spread across Aberdeen city and shire this morning.
However the Met Office has forecast the weather to turn to drizzle in the city later in the morning before a brief spell of sun moves in.
It is expected to stay snowy in inland Aberdeenshire, such as the Braemar area, until the evening.
It comes after the north-east experienced an unusually mild Christmas Day, with temperatures hitting 14C in Aberdeen.
Pictures of the wintry scenes from across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire have been posted to social media.

Meanwhile snow cameras at the Lecht and Cairngorm Mountain ski resorts, near Aviemore, show the slopes filling in nicely.
