A cyclist has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a crash in the early hours of Christmas Eve.
Police were called to the A944 Aberdeen to Alford road, around two miles east of Alford, close to the Mill of Bandley junction on Saturday December 24 at around 4.30am.
The collision involved a silver Renault Clio, which was driven by a 35 year old male, and a 28 year old male cyclist.
The 28-year-old was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, and has spent Christmas Day and Boxing Day being treated for serious injuries.
Sergeant Rob Warnock, from the Road Policing Unit, said: “Inquiries the circumstances of the incident are at an early stage and I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or came across it or saw the silver Renault Clio or the male cyclist prior to the incident to contact Police Scotland on 101.”
