A man has been charged in connection with alleged break-ins in the north-east.
Police Scotland has confirmed that a 30-year-old man from Banff was arrested following a number of attempted break-ins at shops in the Low Street area of the port.
He is understood to have also been involved in a number of allegedly successful break-ins.
They all took place in the early hours of Boxing Day.
He was expected to appear at Peterhead Sheriff Court today.
Detective Richard Cooper said: “I would like to take this chance to thank all members of the community who provided officers with information and assistance.”
He added: “Acquisitive crime in the Banff area is treated as a priority and I would urge any members of the community with any concerns or information to contact Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.”
