The collision occurred on an unclassified road that runs between the A947 and B9170 near Delgatie Castle, Turriff, at about 11.50am. The fire service have said four people are trapped in their cars, it is not known whether they have been seriously injured. One person has now been airlifted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary in a serious condition. Three engines are at the scene along with police and ambulance service. The road is currently closed.
