The incident happened on the A96 Aberdeen to Inverness road at the Huntly bypass at shortly after 9.30am. Police, ambulance and fire crews attended the scene. A spokeswoman for the fire service said: “We sent two crews from Huntly and a female passenger was removed from one of the vehicles. “She is currently in the hands of the paramedics.” Police said the road re-opened at around 11.15am following the recovery of the vehicles. A force spokeswoman said there had been two people in one car and one in the other. She described their injuries as “not serious”.
