VIDEO: Man charged after two-car Aberdeen crash leaves passenger with fractured spine

A man has been charged after a two-car crash in Aberdeen left a passenger in hospital with a fractured spine.

The collision happened on Riverside Drive, near the Queen Elizabeth Bridge, at about 4am yesterday morning.

The crash is understood to have involved a black taxi cab and a silver vehicle.

One of the passengers travelling in the taxi was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where medical staff confirmed he has suffered a fractured spine.

Police confirmed today that a 27-year-old man has been charged in connection with the incident and will appear in court in due course.

Sergeant Rob McLean of the West End Community Policing Team said he “would like to remind all road users to drive responsibly, and to take extra care given the hazardous weather and road conditions that the north-east can experience.”
