A popular north-east tourist attraction will be closed to the public next week to allow for improvement works.
Aberdeenshire Council will upgrade Macduff Marine Aquarium’s central tank, adding a platform to improve access for divers who feed the fish and keep the tank clean.
The aquarium will be closed from Monday, January 23 and will re-open on Saturday, January 28.
A local authority spokeswoman said: “The improvements have been scheduled so that there is minimum disruption to visitors and to coincide with one of the quietest times of the year and shorter opening hours.”
