Police in Aberdeen have recovered almost £1million of drugs between April and September last year.
A new report shows that officers seized just more than £914,660 worth of various illegal substances.
A total of 147kg of cannabis, worth more than £506,000, and 2kg of cocaine, worth more than £166,000, were among the drugs confiscated.
The report, to the communities, housing and infrastructure committee, states: “Decreasing the impact of serious and organised crime groups on our communities through targeted enforcement and disruption of their criminal activities in Aberdeen city continues to be a major focus.
“We continue to work closely with partners to target individuals and groups involved in serious and organised crime by any means of the four D’s strategy – detect, deter, disrupt and divert.”
