A man has been charged in connection with the alleged thefts of electronics and gifts from a house in Aberdeen just days before Christmas.
The 31-year-old has also been charged in relation to a theft from a car in the city’s Woodside area on Monday.
In addition, Police have charged a 36-year-old man following a number of break-ins in Seaton and Torry, where tools, electronics and jewellery have been reported missing.
Both men are due in court today.
Detective Sergeant Craig Murray, of the North East Proactive team, said: “I would like to thank the public and media for their assistance in connection with these inquiries.”
“Operation Magpie was instigated to detect and deter acquisitive crime in the North East of Scotland. I would encourage anyone with information regarding opportunistic crimes in their area, or anyone with information regarding the sale of stolen property, to contact Police on 101 or the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 if you would prefer to remain anonymous.”
