Two treated after fire breaks out in north-east flat

Two people had to be treated by paramedics following a fire at an Aberdeen flat yesterday.
Firefighters were called to Victoria Road at 9.50am following a fire in a second floor flat.
Two men were treated for smoke inhalation by paramedics on arrival, but did not require hospital treatment.
Fire appliances were sent to the scene from Altens and Aberdeen Central.
A fire and rescue spokeswoman said: “We were in attendance at 9.46am on Victoria Road. There was a fire in a second floor flat. We sued four breathing apparatus and one jet.”
An ambulance spokesman said: “We received a request from the fire service to attend an incident on Victoria Road shortly before 10am.
“Paramedics treated two male patients for mild smoke inhalation. Thankfully there was no requirement to hospital for further treatment.”
