The speed limit on a sections of a busy north-east road has been reduced.
Members of Aberdeen City Council’s infrastructure committee yesterday voted to bring down the limit on parts of the A944 Aberdeen to Westhill road.
The speed limit will now reduced from 50mph to 40mph between Kingswells and the Green Hedges Roundabout as well as from Lang Stracht to Skene Road.
Infrastructure convener Neil Cooney said the move “made sense.”
He said: “There are new housing developments proposed nearby and along with the 40mph speed limit near Westhill and on other parts of the A944, it makes sense to reduce this last 50mph section to 40mph.”
