An Aberdeen convenience store has been targeted by an armed robber for the second time in just two weeks.
Police have launched an investigation following the incident, at 6.25pm on Friday, at Adie’s Self Service store on Bedford Road.
A male entered the store and presented a weapon at a member of staff before making off with hundreds of pounds.
Detective Constable Allan said: “Thankfully no one was hurt during the incident, however the staff member who was in the shop at the time was understandably shaken. I am appealing for anyone who was in the area around the time in question and saw anything suspicious to contact police”.
The culprit is white, in his 20s, between 5ft 5ins and 5ft 7ins in height, wearing a black jacket, grey hoodie and light blue jeans.
It follows another armed robbery at the shop on January 13, with police still hunting the thief.
Police released CCTV images of the man wanted in connection with the offence on Thursday.
The culprit, described as being in his 20s, entered the shop at about 6.30pm and threatened a staff member with a weapon before fleeing with cash and cigarettes worth more than £1,000.
The thief, who was wearing a blue top, was last seen on a lane at the rear of Sunnyside Road.
Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, if you wish to remain anonymous.
