Man taken to hospital following attack near Aberdeen city centre

A man was taken to hospital following an attack near Aberdeen city centre early this morning.

Emergency services were called to Holburn Street just after midnight following reports of an assault.

Two people have been detained by police in connection with the incident.

Officers remained on the scene until around 2am.

A police spokeswoman said: “The injuries are not thought to be life threatening.”
