The incident happened in the Garbh Choire area of Braeriach on Saturday afternoon. A man suffered a leg injury in the avalanche. He was rescued by the coastguard helicopter Rescue 951 and airlifted to Raigmore Hospital. Braemar and Aberdeen mountain rescue teams were also called out as a result. Ina statement Braemar MRT said: “Take care out there people, it’s full on winter conditions, please read forecasts and pick your route.”
