A busy north-east route was blocked this morning after a car crashed into a wall and went up in flames.
The incident happened at 7.30am at Oyne Fork, at the junction of the A96 and the B9002.
The route, between Huntly and Inverurie, was at a complete standstill for some time before being cleared shortly after 9am.
Police, fire and ambulance crews all attended the scene and the male driver of the vehicle, a Citreon C2, is understood to have suffered minor injuries.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “We are at a one-vehicle crash.
“A vehicle has struck a wall and it’s now on fire.”
