Thieves have broke into the grounds of a north-east football club and made off with a lawnmower.
The machine was stolen from the grounds of Kintore United Football Club, which is based in the Midmill area of the town, on Sunday.
The green John Deere LT155 was bought in 2015 for £1,600 with club funds raised by a local football festival, and was used to prepare the grounds for matches.
The club has said the theft is a “massive blow” for them moving into spring.
Members noticed the mower was missing after going to check its battery at the weekend.
Police say they are investigating the incident.
