These pictures show the extent of damaged caused after an early morning blaze ripped through a popular Aberdeen restaurant.
The flames broke out just after 4.45am at the Dyce Tandoori on Stoneywood Road.
Four men living in flats above the restaurant were forced to climb through windows to escape the flames, while another ran out down the stairs.
A total of four appliances and 19 firefighters were needed to extinguish the fire and the road was blocked to traffic for more than an hour.
The restaurant’s kitchen and storeroom were badly damaged.
The fire, which was caused by a fryer in the premises, is not being treated by suspicious.
Speaking earlier this morning, a Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said: “We have appliances from North Anderson Drive, Altens, Central and a height vehicle in use.”
A Police Scotland spokeswoman added: “By 5.45am, the fire was under control and was contained.”
