A 53-year-old man has been charged after almost £6,400 of class A drugs were recovered from a north-east village.
Officers recovered crack cocaine and heroin from the Mintlaw area yesterday in an intelligence led operation, which was carried out in response to local concerns about drugs raised in the Buchan area.
He will appear at Peterhead Sheriff Court today.
Constable Jenny Scott said: “I would like to thank all those who assisted with this particular inquiry.
“We will continue in our efforts to make our policing area a hostile place to deal controlled drugs and I encourage anyone with information to bring it to our attention on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if you would prefer to remain anonymous.”
