Police have appealed for witnesses following a deliberate fire in a north-east block of flats.
The incident happened at around 6.45am yesterday, at Kirk Brae, Fraserburgh.
No one was injured as a result.
Detective Sergeant Martyn Thomson said: “We are treating this fire as wilful and would appeal to anyone who saw anything unusual or suspicious in the area yesterday morning to contact us.
“This type of behaviour is completely irresponsible and will not be tolerated. Fortunately on this occasion no one was injured and the damage to the building was minor however the consequences from such actions could have been far more serious.”
Anyone with information is urged to contact police on 101.
