The call was made from Leuchlands Croft near Whitecairns just after 2.30pm. The fire is believe to have developed to around 100 metres by 300 metres in size. A fire services spokeswoman said: “We have two engines in attendance, one from Aberdeen central and another from Altens. “Another water carrier is on the way from Stonehaven. “There were no injuries as a result.”
