The 68-year-old volunteer was allegedly attacked in the city centre on Friday night. An 18-year-old woman has since been been traced by police and charged in relation to the incident. She is expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court tomorrow. The street pastor initiative was set up in 2003 to listen to and assist vulnerable people on nights out, making sure they get home safely. The Granite City team currently draws in volunteers from churches across Aberdeen as one of 23 branches situated throughout Scotland.
