A 39 year old man has been charged following a report of hare coursing in Aberdeenshire.
The alleged incident took place on Sunday March 5 on a farm near Inverbervie.
Two dogs were involved and an unknown number of hares died, a report will now be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
Local Policing Inspector for Kincardine and Mearns, Inspector Sheila McDerment, said: “Hare coursing causes significant suffering to animals in the guise of sport and we will fully investigate all reports received.
“We recognise the impact this also has on rural communities and would urge anyone with concerns or information to contact us on 101.”
