The A947 at Fyvie is currently blocked in both directions. Police and fire services are at the scene – with one person being cut free from their vehicle. The smash involved a Toyota Hilux and a black Vauxhall Corsa. Police have closed the road in both directions with diversions put in place. Traffic heading north is being sent on to the A920 at Oldmeldrum, then on to the B9001 and B992. Drivers heading south are going from the B992 to B9001 and on to the A920. UPDATE: A man who was driving the car involved in the incident has been airlifted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. Another man, who was driving the van, has been taken to hospital by ambulance. They are both seriously injured, however their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
