The Scottish Government has allocated almost £2million towards a new community facility in Aberdeen.
The Regeneration Capital Grant Fund has pledged £1.9m towards the new community facility outlet in Tillydrone.
The investment comes on top off the £4.1m sum which Aberdeen City Council have allocated for the Hayton Road facility which will include a library, creche, cafe, business start-up unit, and activity halls for fitness and recreation.
Ross Grant, regeneration and transport spokesman for the city council, said: “I welcome the news that the Scottish Government has backed this fantastic facility with a grant of £1.9million.
“This centre will be a crucial resource for supporting individuals and families in the local area and we have worked closely with local folk to identify a wide range of services.”
Grant from Holyrood to help fund new Aberdeen community hub
