A love-struck man has become the talk of the Granite City after posting a romantic lamppost message to find a woman whose number he lost.
The man – known only as M – took to the streets of Aberdeen in the hopes of finding the woman, named as Holly Lewis, after losing her contact details.
The note, which was sellotaped to a lamppost in the city’s Rose Street, states: “Holly Lewis. I lost your number! I’ll be where we first met, every evening at 11pm.”
A woman who shared the picture online in the hope of helping the pair reconnect and said the mystery man’s search was “so cute”.
In a post to social media site Facebook, she wrote: “Thought maybe we all can give a lil help to Mr. M to find Holly? Will keep the post public, so please share & hopefully the right Holly gets the message.”
The post has now been shared nearly 800 times as people pile in to help ‘M’ get in touch with Holly.
One woman said: “Hope they find each other.”
And another social media user posted: “Aw, romance isn’t dead.”
