Police have cordoned off an Aberdeen supermarket after an attempted robbery.
Officers have been called to a branch of Farmfoods on Great Northern Road.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland confirmed that no one was injured in the incident but inquiries are still ongoing.
Detective Sergeant Graeme Skene said: “No one has been injured and nothing has been stolen however it is naturally very concerning for the local community.
“We are looking to trace a man in connection with the incident. He is described as in his late 20’s or early 30’s and between 5ft 8ins and 5ft 10ins tall. He is described as wearing a black jacket with reflective strips, blue jeans, white trainers and a grey hoody underneath his jacket. It is thought he was seen in the area yesterday with a white dog with brown patches.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101.”
