A man has been banned from the roads for more than three years after driving at police when ordered him to stop.
Graeme Fyfe had no licence or insurance when he was spotted behind the wheel in Aberdeen city centre in September last year.
But when Detective Constable Kim Duncan told him to get out of his car on Market Street, he refused to do so – revving his engine and reversing towards her and up onto the pavement.
The 42-year-old then drove off towards Virginia Street at excessive speed.
Yesterday, he appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court to be sentenced after previously admitting failing to stop, driving without a licence and without insurance on September 21.
The court heard Fyfe, of School Road, Aberdeen, was eventually found in the car park at the Beach Boulevard retail park.
Sheriff Morag Mclaughlin imposed a curfew on Fyfe, preventing him from leaving his home between 8am-8pm for six months.
She also disqualified from driving for 45 months and ordered him to carry out 200 hours of unpaid work as part of a community payback order.
