Police investigating a smash-and-grab theft from an Aberdeenshire family jewellers have asked the public to be wary of anyone offering to sell watches.
Hundreds of pounds worth of timepieces were stolen from K & C Jewellers on Bridge Street in Ellon in the early hours of Saturday, March 11.
The criminals smashed through the front window of the shop, causing more than £1,000 worth of damage.
Detective Constable Gary Johnston said: “Extensive inquiries are ongoing, however we are still keen to talk to anyone with information which could assist with the investigation, no matter how insignificant you think it might be.
“In particular, I would appeal to anyone who may have been offered a watch for sale recently to get in touch as your information could be vital.”
