The incident happened at 6.20pm on the River Dee near Robert Gordon University’s Gray’s School of Art. The man is understood to have fallen into the water before police, ambulance and fire crews were called to rescue him. The 41-year-old was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary but his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening. A Police Scotland spokesman said: “We received a call from the ambulance service who first attended. “We believe he came off his mobility scooter and had fallen in the water and had to be taken out. “He was conscious and breathing. “His injuries don’t appear to be life-threatening.”
