Police have appealed for witnesses after a woman’s handbag was stolen from her in Peterhead.
The incident happened at around 11.15am yesterday at Queen Street, near to the junction with Victoria Road, Peterhead.
Her bag, a two-figure sum of cash and a number of personal items were stolen.
Detective Sergeant Martyn Thomson said: “Fortunately the victim was uninjured as a result of this incident but has naturally been very upset. We are looking to trace a man as part of inquiries. He is described as white and around 6ft tall with a slim build. He was wearing a black hooded top with the hood up, light denim jeans and brown tan coloured boots.
“Anyone who saw this man in the area around the time given is asked to contact police on 101.”
