The fire and rescue service were alerted to the blaze, which took hold in a first-floor property on Howes View, Bucksburn, at about 6.15pm. Four appliances, with 18 firefighters on board, were sent to the scene from Central and Altens stations. But by the time crews arrived a neighbour had managed to extinguish the blaze, the service has confirmed. There are not believed to be any injuries as a result of the fire.
