Police are seeking five men following an assault which left a teen with a serious face injury.
An altercation took place at the rear car park of Farmfoods, on Stonehaven’s Cameron Street, on Saturday, March 25 at about 11.30pm.
However it is believed to have broken out near the Queens Hotel on Allardice Street.
A 19-year-old man was treated in hospital for the injuries to his face.
Police said “at least five men” – aged about 18 to 20 – were involved in the assault.
Constable Kerri Johnston, of the divisional alcohol violence reduction unit, said: “I would appeal to anyone who was in the area of Allardice Street or Cameron Street at the time and saw anything to please contact police.
“It would have been busy around the time in question, with people out for the night and it could be you saw something which could help.
“It’s understood the altercation started in the Allardice Street / Cameron Street area near to the Queen’s Hotel before spilling into the rear car park at Farmfoods.
“One man has been seriously injured as a result and extensive CCTV and house-to-house inquiries are underway.
“Anyone with information should contact Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 if you would prefer to remain anonymous.”
