One person has been seriously injured and another five hurt after a car flipped onto its side in a two-vehicle smash this evening.
The crash happened at around 6.07pm at Toll of Birness on the A90. Three casualties had to be freed by firefighters.
A Scottish Fire & Rescue Spokeswoman said: “Three persons were trapped in the vehicle. There are six casualties in total.” Fire crews helped the three trapped people out before leaving the scene at 6.53pm.
Police Scotland confirmed that one casualty is seriously injured and the road is currently closed as an investigation is carried out.
