Police are asking members of the public to stay away from an area in Aberdeen where fire crews are tackling a large gorse fire.
The Kingswell to Newhill road is currently closed as fire fighters attempt to bring the blaze under control.
A total of six fire engines are at the scene including three normal appliances, two forestry units and a welfare unit.
The fire service first received the blaze north of Concraig Gardens at 10.28am.
A spokeswoman said: “Air traffic control at Aberdeen Airport has been advised there is substantial smoke between Kingswell and Newhill.
“Scottish Power is in attendance in an advisory capacity because there are some power lines there.”
A police spokesman said: “Police Scotland and Scottish Fire and Rescue are currently dealing with a gorse fire on the Kingswell to Newhill Road. The road is currently closed and we ask that members of the public avoid this area meantime.”
