Community groups, charities and local organisations across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire are to benefit from CALA Homes’ community bursary.
The housebuilder will hand out £10,000 to 11 groups across the north east.
The Aberdeen Riding Club, 17th Aberdeen Scout Group, Seaton Community Church, Children’s Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS), Aberdeen Science Centre, SensationalALL and GCRA Ltd will all receive £1000 from the bursary.
While the Pitscurry Day Service will get £900, Alzheimer Scotland has been awarded £850, Community Food Initiatives North East (CFINE) has been allocated £750 and Sunrise Partnership SCIO will be given £700
Mike Naysmith, managing director at CALA Homes, said: “All of the successful organisations and charities were looking for funds for very worthy projects and I’m very pleased that we’re able to help so many of them.
“Supporting communities within Aberdeen is an important focus for CALA and our community bursary initiative has provided us with the opportunity to reach out to groups and charities in the area, and help a number of vital causes that have a positive impact on the lives of locals.”
