A man who stalked his former neighbour has been ordered to stay away from her.
Alexander Taylor previously admitted causing the woman fear and alarm by repeatedly driving slowly past her home between September 1 and October 5 last year.
The 68-year-old has a previous conviction for a similar offence against the same woman.
Yesterday, he was given a three-year non-harrassment order when he appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court.
Fiscal depute Sophie Hanlon said the victim and her partner caught Taylor on CCTV going by their home five times.
Miss Hanlon said: “The complainer was in fear and alarmed by the accused’s actions of repeatedly driving past her property.”
Defence agent Gregor Kelly said his client did not oppose the Crown’s motion for a non-harassment order.
He said in the report it was stated that Taylor thought in a “black and white” way and, if parameters were laid out, he would know the consequences of not keeping to the order.
Mr Kelly added that Taylor, of Seafield Drive East, Aberdeen, was “very eccentric”.
Sheriff Christine McCrossan also issued him with six penalty points for driving offences.
