ByStuart Monteith
A dog that went missing while out walking in Porthlethen has been found following an exhaustive two day search involving more than 50 people.
Claire Muir’s dog Pepsi slipped off the lead while being walked yesterday, prompting the Aberdeen, Stonehaven and Cruden Bay lifeboat teams in to action.
They began their search at about 3.50pm at Findon Quarry.
Today, more than 50 people were out searching with Claire and a social media campaign called ‘Help find Pepsi’ was set up to help with their efforts.
However, just hours later, Pepsi has been found as is now being checked over by vets.
Posting on the Facebook page, Claire wrote: “This girl does not like getting checked over by the vet but she is back!
“My amazing and dedicated parents tracked her down and I’m awaiting the details but for now, cuddles and the biggest, best, most grateful thanks from me and Simon to each and every person who has supported us during this horrible 24 hours.”
