A new cafe has opened at an infamous north-east prison which has been transformed into a popular visitor attraction.
Peterhead Prison Museum has already attracted tens of thousands of tourists to the area since it opened its gates last year.
Now the visitor centre, which is operated by local firm Score Europe, has unveiled a cafe inside the prison walls known as The Refuge.
The former officers’ rest area above the jail hospital in the north-east of the complex has been converted to a cafe, which is being operated by a team from the local Seaview Hotel in Boddam.
